Sad week

I've had a sad week, a friend of mine passed away monday un expectedly. A close family, all very loving I can't even begin to imagine how it'll affect them. My heart goes out to all of them, big hugs to you all. 

What we did this weekend!

We got two new raised beds in my garden done! Amongst rain, wind and even hail we got them in, dirt in and seeds in! I also got a neat little brick border around my veggie garden!

Miss Annie Bannanie

Those of you who know me from the horse world have heard me talk of Annie over the years. She's a warmblood we bred way back when I was showing A hunters. We bred our Kinsley mare to Mezcal and Annie was born. Upon which time I promptly decided to stop showing hunters, but Annie stayed with us for lots of years before we sold her. I had a hard time selling her, as much as she was a girlie girl she'd really taken a hold of my heart. She is so athletic but had no where the cranky streak her Mom had and was a lot of fun to ride. Anyways I get updates with I LOVE from her new owner Nancy once and a while and thought I'd share some pictures of her in her new home! She sure looks happy!! Thanks Nancy for the photos I really appreciate getting my "Annie updates"!

Victoria Flower Arrangers Guild

Today I worked at the Coast Collective Gallery again, the artists work one day a month and boy did I pick a good day! The Victoria Flower Arrangers Guild brought is several flower arrangements fashioned after several of the pieces in the Blooms! show. They were stunning! It really was special to see both groups come together! Flower arranging is a art form in itself and WOW did these ladies do an amazing job! The Flower Arranging Guild is also offering a class through the gallery!

Gallery Day!

Yesterday I worked at the Coast Collective Gallery, the Victoria Bonsai group was there doing demo's and boy was it cool! The current show in the Gallery is called Blooms! so the bonsai's fit in perfect! Really a fun day. I have three pieces in the show, pretty exciting for me as this is my first appearance in a gallery show!

Sewing Show

I was at the Sewing & Craft Show last weekend and had a great time! Very organized, some great classes and lots of people! I had a lot of my buttons and they were well received I also had some requests for some different styles I am going to give a go at this week. The picture is courtesy of the ladies across the row from me who were very nice! Thanks to my Mom and sister for all the help!

Fancy Blue Jeans

The silver class has got ideas back into my head (which is a GOOD thing!) I love making these earrings, the findings are a bit fiddly to solder but the end result is worth it I think. They are very comfy to wear, they hang directly below your ear lobe instead of in front like with a regular shepards hook.
