Bead of the Day!

I was the "Bead of the Day" on the Fire Diva's blog yesterday. Well it was button of the day to be technical!!!

Loved the Gardens!

I loved all the flowers and gardens I took a lot of pictures. Here's some more. I love the one of the begonias in the tub, I may blow it up and frame it!!

Michou and Her mom take us to the beach!!

On our one day off from the studio (*sigh* yes only one day off) Michou and her Mom took us to the beach in Hamburg. It was a great day, they met us at the hotel, took us on the ferry, walked the beach, had ice cream. Saw some very cool gardens. One garden had these faces made out of old shovels and tools, very cool I need to poke my husband to make me some!!!

Body Painting

The studio Andrea taught at had a small get together of other beadmakers one of the weekends we were there. Andrea demo'ed two full days after teaching four days, I don't know how she does it.

They had a body painter paint up a model for it. She was a very nice girl ( I cannot for the life of me remember her name! ) we wound up talking about horses a lot. Turns out she's got 1/4 horses and reins a bit in Germany.

The body painting was very cool and I loved what they did with her hair!

Canada Geese in Germany!!

I thought it was strange to see Canada Geese on one of the waterways in germany.

Germany Class

There were two classes in Germany (Hamburg) here's a picture of Andrea with the first class. A picture of the garden area behind the studio where the class was at. There was an amazing amount of gardens both ground level and balcony in Hamburg, it's very pretty. Some pictures of the various stained glass pieces in the studio (for my Dad! I thought he'd like them). The door is one of my favorites, I am thinking we need a new bathroom door here at home, anyone want to tackle a piece that big!?

Trip Updates!!

Now that I've finally been able to get my pictures off my camera I'll post some pictures and commentary from my Germany, Turkey and Alberta trip!

Starting with Amsterdam! We had a long day of travel to get to germany, several transfers and a 8 hour layover in Amsterdam! We were exhausted when we finally got to Hamburg, slept for pretty much a whole day.

The canals in Amsterdam were very pretty, a window full of orchids really caught my eye! They have bikes every where in that city, they "dig dig" their bell when coming up behind you, if you don't get out of the way they run you over. Ask me how I know!!!!
